Our 22nd year included an incredibly moving presentation by a group of women with ALS, who were inspiring, courageous, and passionate. ABC's Bill Ritter was both an award recipient and our MC. It was a very special night, so let the pictures in this gallery inspire all of us to continue the fight.

To kick off ALS Awareness Month and for Wings 21, Bar Trivia Night was a fun and successful event. Check out the photos!

For our 19th year, Wings soared again, with ABC Eyewitness News Anchor Bill Ritter leading the festivities and Harry Santa-Olalla making the live auction a blast. It was a wonderful night of hope, music, and love. With Broadway for All performing, John Tognino, Cindy Poiesz, founder of EVOLVE Brands, and Dr. Neil Schneider being honored, the room was buzzing with excitement. A very special exhibit honoring the late Karen Condron, the 2015 Spirit Award Winner, was one of the highlights of the evening. Most importantly, the PALS who attended were able to see how much support they have, and significant funds were raised for ALS research. Thanks to everyone who made Wings 2019 a huge success!

This year, our 18th, Wings soared again on the way to Unlocking The Cure For ALS. We were once again fortunate enough to have ABC Eyewitness News Anchor Bill Ritter as our host. The night was filled with excitement and our hearts were moved by Tony Award winning actor and director, James Naughton, reading an excerpt from Ruth Fitzmaurice “I Found My Tribe.” We were also inspired by Sharlee Jeter and Dr. Sampson Davis, MD, coauthors of “The Stuff.” The night was punctuated by our award recipients Claudia Fleming and Stephan Bogardus from The North Fork Table & Inn in Southold, Mathew B. Harms, MD, and Anjan Aralihalli. The awesome auctioneer Harry Santa-Olalla added to the fun and fundraising. With PALS in the audience, this was truly a night of hope and a labor of love. Thanks to all the generous donors who help fund our mission.

Year 17, and Wings continued to fly towards Unlocking the Cure for ALS. Host Bill Ritter from ABC was passionate, charming, and, along with our great Auctioneer Jason, key to making Wings another successful and hope-filled event. It was great to honor Pat Quinn, the inspiration behind the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Terry Heiman-Patterson, MD, and Jim Jansen. The 16th Annual Wings Gala was a fantastic evening of hope, generosity, and fun! We returned to the beautiful Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, and let our emcee extraordinaire, and Wings Committee Chair, Jon Najarian, from CNBC, lead us on this exciting journey to Unlock the Cure for ALS.

This was the 15th Anniversary of Wings!!! As is fitting for an anniversary, we gathered at the beautiful Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, with the spectacular views of the Hudson River as a backdrop. Scott Wapner, from CNBC set the tone with his passion, dedication, and enthusiasm. This year's distinguished award winners were warmly embraced by the supportive and generous crowd. Dr. James Berry, Karen and Jim Condron, Jon Najarian, Lisa Utasi, and John Schwall took the stage and delighted the crowd with their acceptance speeches. The night was a win for the award winners, the guests, and for ALS research. After all, that's why we do what we do. We are very grateful for the turnout, as well as for all the generous contributions that have been made throughout the year. Together, we do make a difference!

2014 was the year of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, but also marked the 10th anniversary of the passing of Wings Co-Founder Toni M. Diamond. This year's Gala Event was highlighted by the distinguished award winners, Dr. Timothy Miller, Kim Unger, the The Carrington family, and our dear friend Ken Heath, as well as the passionate and enthusiastic MC Steve Obermeyer and Host Jon Najarian. This was all enhanced by the beautiful venue; the Edison Ballroom. Music was played, by the Trading Band and The Fun Ghouls, money was raised, by our generous guests and sponsors, and hope was in the air for all those with ALS and their families. Wings was thrilled to have Mr. Walt "Clyde" Frazier in attendance, adding to the excitement of the evening.

2013 was very special for MDA's Wings Over Wall Street®. Thanks to your support, Wings reached a very significant milestone: over $10 million raised for ALS research. The night was highlighted by a moving video by Steve Gleason, the 2013 Spirit Award winner, a great emcee in Ty Bentli, from 92.3 Go, great music from the Trading Band, Fun Ghouls, and D'Edge, all in a great venue; the Broadstreet Ballroom.

As Wings marked it's 12th year battling ALS, we remembered Robert Amaro, recipient of our 2012 Spirit Award, who was taken by ALS just over a month before the event. With dedication, passion, and commitment to funding ALS research, this year's Wings flew to new heights. Thanks to the unwavering support of all those who seek a cure for ALS, Wings will once again fund vital research that will help us reach our goal.

On Thursday, September 22nd, the Wings gala event took place at Gotham Hall in New York City. It was another amazing night, as hundreds turned out to show their support for the fight against ALS. With markets falling and the economy struggling, all of us at Wings were humbled by the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and volunteers. Everyone came together on this special night to truly make a difference in the lives of those with ALS.

Wings celebrates its 10th Anniversary. A decade of effort has turned Wings into a major ALS research funding event and a destination event for the Wall Street community. Natalie Morales from NBC's Today Show hosts at Gotham Hall. Michael Marrale and Angela Sun co-chair.

Wings faces an uncertain economy, but co-chairs Ray Tierney and Matt DeSalvo lead Wings to an increase in funds over 2008. CNBC's Joe Kernan and LX.TV's Sara Gore host at our new venue Gotham Hall, and Fox5/My9’s Giovanna Drpic serves as a great auctioneer.

Wings rallies once again! ALS reminds us every year of the terrible toll it takes, as we lose Peter Demmerle, the 2002 Spirit Award winner. Amazing corporate and individual support keeps Wings soaring.

Wings is graced by CNBC's Liz Claman and MSNBC's Rita Cosby as Emcees, Wings loses another Spirit Award Winner (2003), Marge Danzinger, yet the feeling of hope and generosity prevails.

Passion, resolve, commitment, and generosity were the themes of this year's event. Losing co-founder Toni Diamond and 2004 Spirit Award winner Andy Knipe was an immense challenge. Wings rises to the occasion, raising over $900,000.

Wings is highlighted by the shaving of heads for donations, generosity, and the outpouring of support for the grave condition of co-founder Toni Diamond.

Wings loses Michael, yet soars from his inspiration. Wings goes on to fund crucial ALS research.
